The Panerole Cru falls within the Novello sub-region of the Barolo DOCG, in the southwestern corner of the Piemonte. This designation is the most broad, open, and youthful. Rich clay soils and traditional vinification methods produce a wine that is slightly more feminine, yet carries considerable structure
and concentration. Plush and warm, it carries a bright ruby red color with light orange notes; the nose is rich, complex, and floral. The palate is ripe with velvety tannins, rough, young and supple, with a powerful finish of modest length. The most approachable of Daniele’s Cru selections, this wine drinks superbly with fifteen minutes of decanting; alternatively, consider cellaring through 2025.
