A great Orvieto
29 in stock
The tradition of wine-growing area of Orvieto dates back to the Etruscan period. This wine is the expression of a selection of the native grapes used in the Orvieto DOC blend, grown in the hills surrounding Vitalonga. This wine is fresh and tasty, distinguishing itself for its elegance and finesse, very pleasant to drink.
An elegant wine with an intense straw-yellow color; on the nose it reveals nice sensation of apple and exotic fruits; on the palate it is pleasantly soft with mineral notes. This wine is characterized by a good structure and in the finish it reveals a refreshing acidity.
The must obtained from cold maceration (the grapes’ skins stayed in contact for 6 hours at the temperature of 10° C) was added to the must made by direct pressing of the grapes. We later put in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16° C. The wine stayed on the skins in order to enhance elegance, structure and minerality.
