Tarry smoke and loamy earth accents lead to black currant, dried thyme and dark chocolate notes in this richly aromatic red. Medium- to full-bodied and fresh, with well-knit, lightly chewy tannins. Offers a subtle, spiced finish. Drink now through 2023. 1,000 cases made. –AN
