Our Rosso di Montepulciano is a wine with a young character and a lively ruby-red color. On the nose, aromas of ripe fruits, cherry and light vanilla notes stand out. In the mouth it is full-bodied, savory, fresh and pleasantly tannic.

Color : Intense ruby-red colour with purplish highlights.

Smell : Aromas of ripe red fruit, with a touch of vanilla Good balance.

Taste : Fresh and well-orchestrated. A wine to be drunk young.

Icario stretches over 51 ha. 22 of these are vineyards in an amphitheater, layout surrounding our winery,
at an altitude of 450 m.

Soil studies carried out by Dr. Francesco Lizio enable us to know everything about our vineyards and we work in order to respect and enhance their morphological characteristics.

We use precision viticulture, which calls for:
– The drastic reduction of chemical agents, both in terms of quantity and frequency of use
– leaf thinning of vines to favor air circulation and reduce the onset of disease
– Constant monitoring of plant water levels

We also favor:
– The growth of leguminous plants in the vineyards to keep the soil fertile and feed it with more nutritional substances
– Mulching of vineyards to preserve soil fertility in the long term

We respect our plants and strive to ensure they live a long time, which is why we have adopted Simonet & Sirch pruning methods that call for small cuts to the plants during pruning to favor the flow of sap and to avoid the presence of bacteria, as occurs with deep cuts.
